Welcome to the first (of three) newsletters for students considering the MOT Masters Programme! |
You have registered for the master's program Management of Technology (MOT)! You may still have doubts about whether you are going to follow this program or what studying at TU Delft actually entails. To help you make this choice, three international students have gathered all the information they need to help you! Meet the team We are a team of three current international MOT students, Ziba, Jabez and Petra, that had some doubts before deciding to study here, so we decided to join and write this issue from our own experiences to orient newcomers. This issue covers the uniqueness of the master programme, reputation of TU Delft, teaching style, opinions of one famous professor, an MoT alumni, campus facilities and activities, budget, lifestyle in Delft, transportation and connectivity of the city, and things you should consider after deciding to come. |

Dear prospective MOT students, We are delighted to see your interest in our unique master’s program in Management of Technology (MOT). As the Programme Director and the Programme Manager, it is our pleasure to welcome you to a program where passion for engineering meets business management. The MOT program is meticulously designed for engineers in the early stages of their careers, aiming to provide deep insights into technology and innovation management. This program is an ideal fit if you are deeply rooted in technology and deeply interested in business and management. We aim to develop your innovation and leadership skills in a tech-driven business environment. Hello, future MOT students! Welcome to this newsletter. I’m Anggi, your fellow student and MOT Co-Commissioner at the Faculty Student Council of Technology, Policy, and Management (FSC TPM). FSC is a council for and by students, yearly elected democratically, committed to ensuring that the student voice is heard and can shape faculty policy. We represent the students and are always eager for students’ input to provide the best education and facilities for TPM students. As a student representative, I am thrilled to welcome all of you considering joining the MSc MOT at TU Delft. As you navigate your choices, remember that the journey you’re embarking on is not just about acquiring education – it’s a gateway to a community of multidisciplinary changemakers and a starting point for your career in technology management that provides you with huge opportunities to collaborate and take a role in society. First year and second year students interview |
Every new student is interested to know how student life is at Delft! So, in this section we provided short interviews with a first year student and a second year student to give you insights about what you can expect in the beginning of your journey at MOT and what there is to know about your second year as a student here at Delft. Isa: "I love the people and the active lifestyle here. There is a relaxed culture which makes you focus on yourself. Besides, believe it or not, being able to cycle everywhere is an amazing privilege." Talk with the Teaching Assistant |

Some courses in MOT are also assisted by teaching assistants that will help you if you have difficulties or inquiries related to a specific course. In this edition, we will introduce you to one teaching assistant who has assisted in the Emerging and Breakthrough Technologies 2023/2024 course. |

After deciding |
Some steps you have to do after deciding to choose TU Delft as your university Funding: The primary way of funding your masters here at TU Delft is self-funding. The deadline for requesting a scholarship of TU Delft was December 2023, so this is not an option anymore. Housing: Make sure to opt in for the housing portal, if you want to look for housing through the university. Visa: The visa would be taken care of via Osiris in the further steps. More information about this can be found here. Stay tuned for the second edition for all the information. |
